Why the Richest Companies Build the Least
This isn't just a productivity problem. It's a symptom of how we've structured work and innovation.
I see brilliant people at major tech companies doing work beneath their capabilities, playing it safe to support their families. Meanwhile, these same companies have all the resources to innovate but choose to milk existing systems instead. The result? Only the wealthy or young with nothing to lose can take real risks. Everyone else gets trapped in cycles of busywork at stagnant organizations.
We need to unlock human potential, not grind it down. The goal should be growing the pie, not just splitting it up. What if we focused on helping builders build, rather than rewarding those who extract value from others' work?
